When it comes to repairing your boiler, it’s important that any work is carried out by a trained and certified Gas Safe Engineer. Boiler repairs and maintenance carried out by anyone unqualified can be incredibly dangerous due to the presence of highly flammable gas.

The cost of repairing your boiler can vary depending on what part of the boiler is broken. Some boiler repairs may be carried out in a quick and easy manner and can be straightforward for our skilled boiler engineers, whilst others may require additional parts to be fitted which can cost slightly more.

With most boiler repairs you’ll pay for the time that the engineers spend carrying out the work and the cost of any additional parts. At Home Assist we’ll always give a fair estimate of cost prior to carrying out the work to avoid any surprises.

Modern boilers can remain in good working order for anywhere from 10 to 20 years. It’s generally recommended that you replace your boiler every 10 - 15 years, but with regular professional boiler maintenance you can keep your boiler safe for longer.

Any replacement boiler fitted by Home Assist is covered by warranty for 6 - 10 years. This will give you the peace of mind that your boiler is one less thing to worry about in the immediate future. We also have a range of boiler maintenance plans that can extend the lifespan of your boiler.

Under no circumstances should you ever attempt to repair your own boiler by taking the cover off or disturbing any electrics or piping. Boilers are fed by live gas mains which are highly flammable and can explode if left exposed in any way. Unlike other kinds of home maintenance, boiler repairs or maintenance should always be carried out by professionals.
